What owl city song should I sing for an audition to a chorus?

Author: Ok so in the middle school I am going to they have you sing for the teacher so he can choose if ur in advance or not.
Ok so i want to sing an owl city song. What song should I sing? I know them all!

do you really think an owl city song is going to impress a chorus director? i think not. go with something a little less out there, possibly amazing grace?
Owl City isn’t something I’d ordinarily recommend for an audition, but the fact is if you love them then you’ll probably be able to get more into the song than otherwise. I can tell you that you probably don’t want to do Fireflies though, since many find that song overplayed and are sick of it. You would want to find one of their songs that would have the right vocal range for you to go with, and one that would showcase your talents in dynamic changes and things like that.
However, if I might recommend it, I would suggest that you go with a broadway tune or something from a major musical. Try something from, for example, Bye Bye Birdie. Songs like that would stand out to a teacher. You really don’t want to go with Owl City if you’re going to try to impress a music teacher. Good luck!
