Sam Harris Talks About Drug Laws – “The End of Faith”
This is an excellent excerpt from an excellent audio book, “The End of Faith” by Sam Harris, read by Brian Emerson. In this excerpt, Sam draws the connection between religiosity and victimless crime. I’m guessing the first victimless crime was blasphemy. Sorry I haven’t made any videos lately. I haven’t had a lot of time. Sam says it better than I could anyway. Enjoy! Yeah, this guy’s voice is annoying…..
@mojorhythm Don’t buy a knockoff… repeat, do not buy a knockoff.
smoke down mofo. seriously though, legalize it ALL and the shit will improve especially weed.
I almost bought this audio book to listen to in the car on the way to work. I’m so glad I didn’t. I adore Sam Harris and support his message, but this reader’s voice is annoying. Sam’s own voice is very nice .IDK why he didn’t read the audio book himself. I’ll get the hardcover instead.
I think weed should be legal, and I also am an athiest, but I dissagree with one important part of this video. It says that the reason people don’t want weed legalized is that is gives the user the feeling of having a spiritual experience. I think that people don’t think this way; they are simply not educated about the drug, and the facts about how little danger it actually poses.
He looks like Seth Green here.
Wow, talk about putting things into perspective. Bravo Sam!
To the 12 lunatics who gave this video thumbs down, wake the fuck up please.
@mojorhythm Buy one on the internet, you can get a cheap knockoff for $30. Or a real one for $300. I bought a real one, i’m sure it’ll pay for its self in the money i save on wasted pot.
@sekamenacerecords
Yeah it blows.
Ive been wanting to get a volcano vaporizer for god knows how long, and there are two things stopping me:
(1) they dont sell them in australia
(2) theyre so goddam expensive!
I love Sam Harris. This video made me LOL.
@mojorhythm unfortunately vaporizers are very expensive.
Sam Harris looks stoned in this picture, does he smoke weed or do other stuff?
This voice is weird.
I’d rather have both cannabis, alcohol and other mild mind benders legal as long as religion is kept under close scrutiny. People with no detectable substances in their blod streem that believe in rapture, virgin birth, world wide floods without traces in the fossile record (so they deny the record …), life after death, heaven and hell, resurection etc and at the same time work flying planes, performing surgery … THAT is scary!
1. People will smoke cannabis whether its legal or not.
2. Cannabis its self does little harm to the user and community.
3. Illegal markets create violence, unjust imprisonment and unneeded public expenses.
4.? Legalized market creates taxed jobs, safe products, sales taxes.
Its illegal why?
The intonation on the reader’s phrases is hilarious. Computer voice FTW
@facelessone86 every weed taker has mental problems, I guess
. I Beeing mean now

@ricardas83
Weed doesn’t make you think you can fly, your friend has mental problems.
@jameshanley40
Medical patients, NORML members, most adults and the people of the Netherlands, just a few groups of responsible cannabis users.
@TAXtheAtheist
Making cannabis legal doesn’t give approval of it. Tobacco is legal but it is look upon very negatively in this country. We lowered tobacco use in this country while it was legal. We don’t need prohibition.
Cannabis does not turn people into zombies, just ask any medical marijuana patient. Even if it did, its not like people are going to start using drugs just because its legal. The people that want to already are using drugs.
@TAXtheAtheist
I could say the same thing about alcohol. That argument is pointless. I don’t care if my surgeon prays, tokes a joint or drinks a beer, as long as they aren’t working at that moment. What someone does on their free time doesn’t concern me, especially with something as benign as cannabis.
Lung cancer is a risk for smoking marijuana, but if you make brownies with it there is no such concern.
