Young Irishman Barry Corr was signed by former boss Paul Sturrock as a 'development' player from Leeds but after two seasons at Hillsborough manager Brian Laws didn't see enough in the 6"3 forward to warrant another deal.
After having been told he had no future at Elland Road Corr moved south down the M1 to try and kick-start his career with the Owls. Despite scoring on a regular basis in the Reserves Corr was never able to find the back of the net for Wednesday in 18 appearances, half of those coming off the bench.
He eventually rejoined his old boss Sturrock at Swindon Town during the summer of 2007 on a free transfer. |
