Lunt ended his 8 year spell as a Crewe Alexandra player when the Railwaymen dropped down to League One at the end of 2005/06. Ironically it was the club that sent them down that picked him up just weeks later on a free transfer. He made 418 appearances for them.
There was plenty of competition for places in the central midfield area last season but Lunt managed to find himself somewhere on the team sheet more often than not having made 39 appearances for the Owls in his debut season.
Lunt is an attacking midfield player who poses a threat from set-pieces, and is a penalty specialist. |
