My Mom is a huge bird watcher and seen over 500 birds in her life and knows a lot about them!!! We have barred owls in the woods near our house, on one day there were 2 sitting out there in the DAY!! AWESOME sight.. Nothing is wrong with them at all. They sometimes hunt during the day too.. OWLS DO NOT GET RABIES!! that is very very rare. White owl is a snow owl and does not need to be a snow to be out during the day, it is not really rare to see them out during the day, my suggestion to you if you see a owl out.. respect it give it space and enjoy the Awesome site.. :) hope i helped Listen !!!!
