Second string stalemate

A youthful Owls reserve side held out Nottingham Forest to a 0-0 draw away from home. The Wednesday second string line-up contained only three senior players in Chris Adamson, Lee Bullen and Steve Adams, whose 72 minutes was further progress to his return to first team action.

Right winger Dave McClements came closest to scoring for the Owls with a well hit long range shot, whilst Adamson was kept busy at the other end to keep Forest, who had won their previous two games of the season, at bay. The Owls reserves have now won, drawn and lost in their opening three games of the new season.
