Owls back to winning ways, Sturrock unconvinced
Match Report soon.
Half-time: Stockport 0-1 Owls
Paul Sturrock's post match comments:
"I'm pleased with the result but again at two-nothing we made fundamental
errors to allow the other team back into the game. Stockport's best
time was the ten minutes after we went to 2-0. We rode our luck
and it's very, very scary. We've got to stop that happening. It's
costing us game after game."
"Any time we turned Stockport we got joy but all of a sudden we
started thinking we were a football team. Too many of the players
are not listening what we're trying to preach. At this moment in
time we haven't really got the personnel to ensure that if they
don't do it there are other people to come in. But sooner or later
it will sink in or they're not going to play."
"We had a lot of crosses in the box and a lot of goal attempts.
But since I've got here, creating chances has never been a problem
to us. It was a good team performance when we had the ball and a
better team performance [than previously] when we didn't have the
ball."
AnzOwls' verdict: A good result, but a better team would've
punished the Owls for a sloppy attitude.
