Half-time: Owls 1-3 Hull

Paul Sturrock's post match comments:
"We've scored two goals and in normal circumstances that should be enough to win any game. There were things that were happening that I can't believe defenders would do. We seem to play first and defend second and that's a recipe for disaster."

"I thought Whelan and the young boy O'Brien stuck to their task in midfield. It was a difficult job for them because things were just flying over their heads. I told O'Brien after the game that he must be shocked at what he's come into."

"We've played against a team that's going to be promoted, and that is further along as a structured unit than ourselves as a squad of players. We haven't really brought any new players in yet, only worked very hard on the ones that we've got. I have to put my hand up and say they are a better side than us at this minute."

"We'll watch the tape on Thursday and then we have to move on and concentrate on the next game. We're still very close to the play-offs and one win would take us back into the hunt again. As long as we're on the periphery of that we'll keep charging away."
