Paul Sturrock's most match comments:
"Things never happen unless you make them happen. The board, players and fans have all thought that Sheffield Wednesday will be playing in Cardiff in the play-off final. I think I'm the only one who has been a realist - our standard of performance over the last two or three games has not been play-off final level."

"It's important for everyone at this football club to understand we are not the finished article. We are a hard-working, reasonable side when we do the right things, and we win games because of it. But we have totally lost our way to the things we were doing earlier in the season that made us a decent side. If we get back on the rails and appreciate there is an attitude and a work-rate to this kind of game in the league we are in, we will start winning again."

"We've got six games left and we've got to make sure we're in the right position at the end of that."

AnzOwls' verdict:
An absolutelt dire performance. A bit worrying when we have so much to play for, but then again perhaps it is best we get this sort of form out of our system now.
