Match Report

Bad day at the office for Wednesday

This report from BBC Football website:

Port Vale forced their way back into play-off contention with this victory. Adrian Littlejohn fired the home side ahead from the edge of the area just before the half-time interval. Owls striker Adam Proudlock was sent off for elbowing Liam Burns at the start of the second half and Vale then took control of the game.

A slick one-two led to Steve McPhee rolling in his 17th of the season (72) and the impressive Steve Brooker slid in the third in time added on.

Half-time: Port Vale 1-0 Owls
