Owls booed off after Burnley defeat A 67th minute Simon Donnelly goal, his first for the season, was merely a consolation goal. The result has further fueled speculation that Terry Yorath's job at Hillsborough is under question. The start to the new season is a repeat of last season's, and a relegation dogfight is on the cards again this season. Things aren't likely to get any easier this week either, with a trip to Portman Road to face UEFA Cup hopefuls Ipswich Town. The next few weeks could prove to be a testing time for Wednesday, and Terry Yorath. This report from TeamTalk.com: Burnley ran out comfortable 3-1 winners at Sheffield Wednesday courtesy of Gareth Taylor, Glen Little and Ian Moore strikes. The Clarets took an early lead through Wales international Taylor, the former Manchester City nodding home Branch's cross from the left inside eight minutes. It took Stan Ternent's men until 12 minutes into the second half before they added to the advantage, as midfielder Little curled home a left-foot shot after exchanging passes with Robbie Blake. Ian Moore all but wrapped up proceedings on the hour mark, with the Clarets ace hitting a fine individual strike from 18 yards which arrowed into the top left-hand corner. The Owls hit a late consolation seven minutes later when substitute Simon Donnelly fired home from close range after being fed by Gerald Sibon. Terry Yorath's men pushed on in a bid to further reduce the deficit, only for Shefki Kuqi and Sibon to spurn opportunities. The result sees Wednesday remain third from bottom of the table, while the Clarets climb six places to 12th. Half-time: Owls 0-1 Burnley
